FAQ

What is counseling? Who needs it?

Just about anyone can benefit from counseling, but we all go through seasons of life during which we need a little more help. Counseling is a professional relationship crafted to help with specific life problems. People typically need counseling when they are experiencing a life problem that seems a little (or a lot) bigger than they are typically able to handle at the moment. Common problems that can be helped with counseling include anxiety, depression, marriage or relationship difficulties, past painful experiences, grief and loss, divorce, addiction, and many other problems. Additionally, many people can benefit from counseling even when these specific issues are not present. Counseling is a profession that is also designed to be able to help people who are interested in personal growth, better self-care, or improved performance in some specific area of life, such as work or family relationships.
